From Idea to Business

Javena was founded on September 1, 2014, originally under the name Jacobs Vraag en Aanbod (abbreviated: JVA). We started with the purchase and resale of second-hand goods, ranging from attic clear-outs to flea market lots. That quickly evolved into larger batches and our own "sales service," where we handle selling items on behalf of our customers. This service is still active and widely used to this day.

One Step Further: Expanding into New Products

After several years in the second-hand market, we increasingly came across new product batches and items. This led us to establish our first contacts with suppliers of new goods, giving our range and reach a major boost! Our passion for trade received a fresh injection of energy, which you can see reflected in our ever-growing product range. Our focus shifted and is now mainly on offering new items related to safety, security, and office supplies.
We also offer services, both for private and business clients. At Javena, you can turn to us for a complete safety plan for your home or company. Whether it's new door cylinders, fire safety equipment, or a full-service setup including security cameras, we take care of everything from A to Z!

A Name That Matches Who We Are Today

Growth calls for renewal. Jacobs Vraag en Aanbod is still part of us, but the focus has changed. That’s why we chose a new, strong name in early 2019: Javena. Short, recognizable, and future-oriented. A name that fits the company we’ve become, and want to continue to be.

And Yes, We Still Do Second-Hand

Even though our focus is now on a wide range of new items, you’ll still find second-hand products in our assortment. From football shirts to vinyl records, DIY and garden tools, and much more. The roots of our company remain visible in these unique product categories. However, in a separate online store.
